April 20, 2017 –
We’ve all experienced it—the thrill of the find. The first turn of the page. (Unless e-readers are more your thing). Getting so lost in a story you forget to get off at the right bus stop. Or forget you’re on a public bench as you gasp at an unexpected turn of events. We’ve all seen the Little Libraries in our neighbourhoods, inviting us to take and leave a book and now we’re creating a big version for just one day to get Torontonians exchanging books just in time for World Book Day. After all, literature has touched every one of us, and we think that’s cause for a celebration.
Join us for Amazon’s World Book Day event this Thursday, April 20th for an afternoon of book swaps, readings from incredible authors and more. Stop by with a book in hand, ready to swap it for another, and enjoy being surrounded by others who love to read over a cup of joe. World Book Day is officially Sunday, April 23rd but we’re celebrating a little bit early!
LOCATION: BoxCar Social, “The Slip”, 235 Queens Quay W, Toronto ON
WHEN: Thursday, April 20th from 2-7pm
WHAT: Community book exchange. Leave a book. Take a book.
