#85 Vibo Restaurant

There is no shortage of great restaurants along the stretch of Bloor that makes up the Kingsway in Etobicoke. If your restaurant is located there you better be doing something right to keep your guests coming back. Vibo Restaurant is obviously doing many things right.

Vibo Restaurant is located at 2995 Bloor Street West between Royal York Road and Prince Edward Drive in Etobicoke. Formerly known as Villa Borghese, Vibo has been in the area since the 1970s. Unlike most Italian restaurants Vibo manages to put together a menu that balances traditional Italian fare with modern dishes. Daily specials highlight what is in season and seems to change almost daily. But no need to worry, your waiter will highlight in detail each special and what makes it, well, special. Start off with an appetizer ($10-$15) and try the poached pear salad or calamari sorrentina, personal favourites of mine. Pastas ($15-$20) will satisfy your cravings, especially the penne alla vodka. Or choose a main ($20-$30) such as the rack of New Zealand lamb that your taste buds will thank you for. The extensive wine list is something to behold.

With live piano music the ambiance is set for your evening whether your are here with friends, family, or on a date with that special someone. The private room upstairs with fireplace is perfect for your private party.

Vibo restaurant is also a regular participant in Winterlicious and Summerlicious, a perfect time to try out their prix fixed menu offerings.
