Grand Reopening of the Rotary Peace Park Playground

Close

July 30, 2014

Dear Neighbour,

I would like to cordially invite you to the Grand Reopening of the Rotary Peace Park Playground (25 Eleventh Street) on Wednesday, July 30th at 6 p.m for a commemorative plaque unveiling and free food, drinks and fun, family entertainment

Several years ago, after being approached by engaged residents, we were able to connect with City staff, corporate partners and local businesses to make this playground happen. After many long years of fundraising, and the efforts of many, I think I speak for the entire community when I say how excited I am to see the playground completed. I hope to see you Wednesday.

Sincerely,

Mark Grimes

Inspired by the world-famous party, the 11th Annual Lakeshore Mardi Gras celebration takes place Friday August 1st to Monday August 4th in Colonel Samuel Smith Park and is becoming the must-do event in Etobicoke. Now granted, things might not get as crazy as they do in New Orleans but that doesn’t mean it’s not as fun. Put on by the local community, this outdoor party is fit for families, couples, and singles alike.

From early May to the end of October you can enjoy open-air shopping and the smell and colours of organically grown merchandise. You won't have the convenience of shopping carts and air conditioning but really, I'd much rather take along my own cart (if needed) anyway. The thing I enjoy most is speaking directly with the merchants to find out where their produce come from.

My name is Amanda, I am the owner of Simply Yummy Ice Cream Shoppe & Creperie. We are located at 2323 Bloor Street West, inside the Windermere Court (right beside RBC), in the heart of Bloor West Village at Windermere & Bloor. It’s a bit of a tough location to find, but once our customers do they love it, because we have a patio courtyard which is a bit like an oasis in the busy village…and it’s dog friendly.

Simply Yummy specializes in carrying premium ice cream, Kawartha Dairy & Greg’s, and we make fresh homemade crepes, and 100% fresh juice smoothies with no added sugar & real fruit. We have old fashion values about customer service, and quality of products. Please check out our website at yummys.ca to learn more.

We would like to be listed on the 365Etobicoke website.

Can someone please contact me, and let me know if there is any additional information you need in order to have Simply Yummy listed with the other businesses of Bloor West.
    Thank you,
    Amanda
