Sherway Gardens Job Fair 2012

Twice a year Sherway retailers gather in Sherway Square for a ONE DAY Retail Job Fair.
If you, or someone you know, loves working in retail, has a passion for providing excellent customer service, and thinks that Sherway is the best shopping centre around, this is the perfect opportunity!
With many of Sherway's fine retailers represented, this is a fast and easy way for job seekers to determine what is available. Bring lots of resumes and be prepared to be interviewed that day. The Job Fair runs from 9:30am until 5:30pm.

BBQ / Project X @ Great Lakes Brewery

So everyone here at the brewery is getting pumped for our 9th Annual Great Lakes Brewery Spring BBQ! The BBQ will be held at the brewery on Saturday May 26 from 12pm-6pm. This event will act as our Project X for the month, therefore there will not be a Project X next week.
We’ve got a fantastic day planned, so you don’t have to worry about a thing! We have taken the liberty of organizing shuttle buses to and from Royal York subway station from 12 until 6, that way everyone can enjoy a few beers and get home safe at the end of the day. Now this is a family BBQ, so please bring the entire family out for the day! We’ve got face painting, dunk tanks, and lots of goodies for kids. We have not decided on the beers we will be featuring yet, however when we know, you will know. I will be blogging again closer to the event date to provide you with more details.

Mimico VIllage Tulip Festival

Royal York Road will come into bloom Tuesday May 29th, 2012 as this day will mark the 10th Annual Mimico Tulip Festival. Each spring the Mimico Village BIA and local community organizations come together and volunteer their time to put on the event. This event is centered around the unveiling of twenty-five 4-foot tall tulips which are painted annually by various community groups and school children in the area.
The Mimico Tulip Festival is a great community event that provides a way to get out and meet the neighbours. It also offers plenty of fun and entertainment for the young ones such as jumping castles, rock climbing, face painting, balloons, free refreshments, carnival games and prizes.

We have 3 events coming up in the next little while. An Owl Prowl Wedenesday November 23rd and December 7th. We also have a Kids Getaway on Sat. Dec. 17th (will be on our website tomorrow) and Winter Camp January 2nd to the 5th.
