I wish I had a green thumb. Someone once gave me a Chinese luck plant and said it was impossible to kill. It died within weeks. Lucky for me Plant World in Etobicoke is just around the corner.
Plant World, located at 4000 Eglinton Ave West, is the biggest garden centre in Etobicoke and one of the biggest in Toronto and the GTA. From small plants you’d keep on your desk at work to mature trees that need a team of ten to set them in place, Plant World has you covered. With over 5 acres (that’s ACRES!) of floor space, you can wander around for hours. They have a covered outdoor space as well as a greenhouse that has tropical plants growing year round. Want to redo your landscaping? Plant World will come out to your home and sketch out a plan for you. Their knowledgeable staff has six generations of experience and they are there to help.
During the winter season, the 5,000 square foot shop has everything to turn your home into a winter wonderland. You can also find that perfect Christmas tree among thousands of fresh-cut ones. Basically, Plant World is your one stop shop no matter what the season or what the occasion.
Those with a green thumb should also consider joining the “Plant World’s Reward Program”. You’ll earn 3% of your pre-tax purchases that you can use towards future items. It’s a great program especially for those who love to spend time in their yards.
I don’t think I’ll ever develop that green thumb but luckily, Plant World in Etobicoke has so many things that grow that I’ll never have to worry.
