As is the case every January, people are beginning their new years resolutions and without a doubt some of these resolutions are to “skip dessert” when going out for dinner. If this is truly the case however, then why is Caffé Demetre in Etobicoke so busy?
Caffé Demetre, located at 2962 Bloor Street West in the Kingsway, is busy because they do one thing and do it to perfection. Desserts! With their huge selection of home-made ice cream (called “iced” cream at Café Demetre, harking back to its roots) it’s hard to resist choosing a dessert that doesn’t include a baseball sized scoop of the good stuff, especially inside a crepe. Let’s not forget the freshly baked Belgian waffles, banana splits, pies, cheesecakes, accompanied with a cappuccino, latte, or hot cocoa. The list goes on and on!
Our personal strategy has always been to stop by Caffé Demetre after dinner elsewhere. This strategy works extremely well in the Kingsway with so many great restaurants in close proximity to each other. Treating the kids after they’ve done chores is a nice pastime for some families during the day. Stopping by after a movie or while on a date makes a lot of sense too. You can usually spot many couples there sharing their delicious treats.
Caffé Demetre in Etobicoke is the perfect place to treat yourself and others to delicious, mouth-watering desserts. You can go to the gym tomorrow!
