#131 Dundas Street Grille

They say that breakfast is the most important meal of the day. In that case you’d be well served to check out Dundas Street Grille in Etobicoke. An old school diner that, judging by the crowds each weekend, is on the top of many people’s lists.

Dundas Street Grille, located at 5238 Dundas Street West, has been at its location since 1984. That’s just about 30 years and older than half of it’s patrons on this particular day! Sure the façade has changed over the years but the meals being served inside are just as satisfying as those first several years. There’s a reason why there are so many families here each weekend and the reason is tradition. Ask anyone why they enjoy eating at the Dundas Street Grille and they’ll say “it’s where we come for mom’s birthday”, or “it’s our ‘go to’ place after baseball games with the guys”. The number one reason, however, is that “the food is good and the service is great”.

Dundas Street Grille has many great items on its menu but it’s the breakfast that keeps people coming back week after week, year after year. From the fantastic omelets to their Eggs Florentine. Love peameal bacon? Ask for it to be put in your eggs benedict. The delicious pancakes have many fans! It’s just very decent fare and relatively inexpensive. It’s not rocket science but it’s good!

If we were to give one last piece of advice about the Dundas Street Grille is that if you’re heading there on a weekend morning you may have to wait to be seated. But be patient, you’ll soon be eating one of the best breakfasts in Etobicoke!
