Kids have the wildest imaginations especially during Halloween. While I come up with the same Jack O’ Lantern face year after year, the kids participating in Pumpkinfest in The Kingsway in Etobicoke come up with some true works of art.
The 15th annual Pumpkinfest in The Kingsway takes place Sunday October 29th 2017 at 10am in the morning and is put on by The Kingsway BIA. Complete with pumpkin patch, corn stalks, and hay, parents accompany their kids to the festival and watch as they pick out their pumpkin and get creative. By using the free supplies provided, your kids can use their imagination to create funny or scary faces for the pumpkins contest. In addition to the pumpkins receiving new faces your child can have their face painted as well. After the prizes for best pumpkins are handed out the kids can get an early start on trick or treating by visiting stores along Bloor Street. Dressing up, for both parents and their children, is always encouraged!
Pumpkinfest in The Kingsway is especially great this year as it is taking place at the same time and in the same location as the Dorothy Ley Hospice Halloween Bed Race. What this means is that there truly is so much to do in The Kingsway this year when it comes to Halloween.
If you’ve never brought the kids down to Pumpkinfest in The Kingsway there is no better year to do it than this year. Come on Etobicoke, show us your Halloween spirit! Pun definitely intended.
