Street Classics Cruise Nights

You don’t have to be a car lover to have some kind of emotional reaction when looking at automobiles from the past. Whether you’re part of the older generation that may have owned one of these cars in their youth or a child that just plain thinks these cars look cool, you’ll get a kick out of seeing these cars on display at Street Classics Cruise Nights in Etobicoke.

Street Classics Cruise Nights take place every Saturday night from mid May to early October in the parking lot of Canadian Tire at 1608 The Queensway. It’s not hard to believe that cruise nights started way back in 1999 once you see the hundreds of car lovers who show up every Saturday night to take it all in. From Model T’s to cars from the early 90s you’ll be hard pressed to not find a car that you’re not drawn to. On some Saturdays you’ll see up to 500 cars pack the parking lot and what is amazing to us is the condition of some of these cars. It’s almost as if some have come right off the assembly line.

In addition to the Street Classics Cruise Nights there is a yearly swap meet that takes place in September where vendors trade parts no longer needed for parts they do need. Organizers also hold weekly draws with proceeds going to The Darling Home for Kids in Milton. It’s a worth-while cause and since the cruise nights are free consider buying tickets.

So head on down to the next Street Classics Cruise Night happening every Saturday. The car lover in you will thank you for it!
