Kathleen Wynne proved the pre-election polls that showed the parties in an effective statistical three-way tie to be total hogwash. The Liberals ran away with the election and, despite the scandals that their opponents brought up time and time again, now have a majority government which should allow them to push through legislative changes more easily. Kathleen Wynne officially becomes the first elected female premier of the province of Ontario. In the aftermath Tim Hudak will step down as PC leader. Again, there were no surprises in the Etobicoke ridings although an argument can be made for the Milczyn-Holiday battle for Etobicoke-Lakeshore. Yvan Baker and Shafiq Qaadri were also winners.
