Horizon Arts CampAn ever-growing number of people are beginning to realize that there are several excellent art programs available for our children here in Etobicoke. Horizon Arts Camp is one of the programs at the top of that list.

Horizon Arts Camp, currently being held at Kingsway College School in Etobicoke, is a professional performing and visual arts camp for youngsters aged 6 to 14. With a very high ratio of mentors to students, the Horizon Arts Camp staff is made up of professional artists who take a genuine interest in  encouraging and supporting every child to “find their voice”. It’s not rocket science. When these kids receive the encouragement to perform (sing, dance, play an instrument, draw, etc) from adults who have dedicated their life to the arts, these kids gain confidence in all aspects of their lives that stays with them to adulthood. But they’re not adults yet. Let them have fun!

Horizon Arts Camp offers a variety of programs in a wide range of interests. There is, of course, the summer camp program that lasts three weeks. If you’re staying home for March break Horizon Arts Camp can accommodate your child for the week. There is also the very popular workshop series that takes place each Saturday in the Fall and Spring. A sampling of the workshops include on-camera acting, musical theatre vocal, jazz dance, Hip Hop dance, and much more. Be sure to visit their website and take a look at what they offer.

If you’ve ever seen your child draw or have heard them sing and dance, why not enroll them into the Horizon Arts Camp. It’ll boost their confidence in everything they do down the road.
