There’s nothing better than a good old fashioned corn roast. Actually a corn roast held alongside a heritage fair and market, with live music, held at Etobicoke’s most famous living museum Montgomery’s Inn is even better!
Montgomery’s Inn Corn Roast, Market and Heritage Fair will be held September 5th 2019 from 5pm to 8pm. Montgomery’s Inn is located at the South-East corner of Islington and Dundas and visitors to the annual corn roast are in for a great time. Bring your lawn chair and enjoy live traditional folk music by Gin Lane as well as Irish Country Dance lessons by Maureen’s Reel Irish Dancing. The historic bar room inside the inn will be tended by Thomas Montgomery serving Great Lakes Brewery’s special beer made specifically for this year’s anniversary. The Antique Shoppe will be having an antique sale while information tables provide historical information and photos from yesteryear.
Bring the whole family as there will also be activities and games for the kids, pizza, ice cream, barbecued hot dogs, and tours of Montgomery’s Inn. We almost forgot to mention the corn roast! No better way to eat corn on the cob! This year’s corn roast will be bigger than ever as the museum celebrates it’s 40th anniversary.
