Cloverdale Mall

When people think “malls” in the GTA one typically thinks of Yorkdale, Square One, and our very own Sherway Gardens. I consider Cloverdale Mall in Etobicoke these malls’ “little brother”.

Cloverdale Mall, located at 250 The East Mall, has everything you could ask for in a mall. Personally, when I’m in a hurry and want to pick up several items from several different stores I usually head to Cloverdale first. The mall is anchored by Target, Winners, and Kitchen Stuff Plus. One of the great things about Cloverdale is that it is one of the few malls that has a full-fledged 24 hour grocery store in Metro as well as a Home Hardware, which I never see in a full-sized mall. It is very convenient. It is also home to a vehicle licensing centre so I’m never too far from getting a plate renewal or updating my awful drivers license photo. If you need a quick bite you can stop by KFC, Subway or Mr. Souvlaki for example. The variety of the places to shop has increased over the years and the mall has gone through multiple improvements.

Cloverdale Mall also hosts many events that are aimed at kids big and small. For instance, the malls hosts a Summer Kidz program which features great guests such as The Incredible World of Bugs. They also host a monthly heritage antique market. You can see what events are scheduled by clicking here.

One other thing, even in the farthest parking spots you’re still very close to one of many mall entrance points. Perfect for expectant mothers, seniors, and lazy people like yours truly. For a complete list of stores click here.

So while I consider Cloverdale a “little brother” to some of the bigger malls in the GTA, there’s no denying that Cloverdale Mall in Etobicoke has experienced a growth spurt these last several years.

      • Crossing fingers for Giant Tiger to replace Target. The footprint is larger than any of the franchises that I’ve been to, but I still hope so.

        • Hey Phil… There’s also the possibility of splitting up that space into two or more anchors. We can’t see one retailer coming in to take up the entire space. However, Target Cloverdale was apparently the busiest in the GTA so you never know.

    • Hi Jay,
Although we would love a Walmart there the one on Dundas was moved down to the Queensway across from Sherway so I don’t think they’d put one in the area again. But… you never know!
