Remembrance Day is a time for all residents to honour, celebrate and remember those who fought for Canada. This year marks the 69th anniversary of the end of the Second World War.
Etobicoke’s Remembrance Day Service will take place Sunday November 11th 2018 at the Etobicoke Civic Centre at 10:45am. The March on Colours will mark the beginning of the service followed by Canada’s national anthem, prayer, the reading of In Flanders Fields, the Dedication and Laying of the Wreaths, two minutes of silence, and the Retiring of the Colours. The Royal Canadian Legion, the Knights of Columbus, the Etobicoke arm of the Salvation Army, and many others will be taking part.
It is always a beautiful service so please make your way to the Etobicoke Civic Centre this Remembrance Day, and remember those who fought for our freedoms.
