One could say that the tapas style restaurant is ideal in that you are able to sample a wide range of different tastes and textures in one formal meal. If that sounds appealing to you then look no further than Azarias Restaurant in Etobicoke.
Azarias is located in the heart of the Kingsway at 3058 Bloor Street West, just a block West of Royal York Subway, and has quickly built up quite the following. The space is quite elegant with dark finishes throughout and various seating options (table or booth). Black and white photos adorn the walls and the crowd is a great mix of friends and couples making it a great date-night place or a place to catch up on the week’s happenings. As with most popular establishments weekends are extremely busy so reservations are a must. Service with a smile as well as recommendations are par for the course.
Azarias skews mainly towards seafood dishes but they have others as well. As mentioned the tapas style allows you to try and share amongst the tables various dishes on the menu. You typically wouldn’t order one dish and then call it a night. You order a dish here, a couple of dishes there, order more of what you like, and skip something next time. It makes going out to dinner an event. Our personal favourites include the Spicy Shrimp Tacos, the Montreal Smoked Meat Sliders, the Truffled Mushroom Risotto, and the Lamb Burgers.
Toronto’s food culture is world-renown now and it’s due to great restaurants such as Azarias in Etobicoke.
