Are you a vegetarian? If yes, skip on to #56 on our list. If not, read on for one of the best pure steak house experiences around, Black Angus Steakhouse in Etobicoke.
Black Angus Steakhouse is located at 3277 Bloor Street West just a couple blocks East of Islington but don’t blink otherwise you’ll miss it. Nestled between a medical building and a treed lot, it’s not hard to accidentally skip past the tiny, but full of character, steakhouse. Upon entering you’ll notice the open grill so you can watch as your aged steak is cooked to your specification. The recently renovated space has undergone some changes and we must say it’s much nicer now. The bar is still the perfect spot to wait for fellow diners and grab a quick cocktail before your meal. The dining area seems a bit more open now and every table is now on the same level as compared to before. We’re also glad they kept the horned chandeliers but updated them to match the new space. This isn’t your dad’s steakhouse and maybe that’s a good thing.
We can’t mention Black Angus Steak House and not mention the steak! A thick and juicy slab of certified Angus beef, cooked to perfection. The Caesar Salad, also one on our faves, comes in a traditional version and a “1964” version with a hint of curry. All meals start with complimentary garlic cheese bread and pickles before your food comes but careful not to fill up . Black Angus has been around a long time and is an Etobicoke institution. Most steak house aficionados in Toronto recognize Black Angus as being one of the best.
While it is true that some of the other “steakhouses” such as the Keg and Ruth’s Chris offer succulent steaks of their own, it is highly recommended that you visit one of the originals, Black Angus Steakhouse. Found right here in Etobicoke.
