Royal York Road will come into bloom Tuesday May 31st, 2011 as this day will mark the 9th Annual Tulip Festival in Mimico Village. Each spring the Mimico Village BIA and local community organizations come together for the annual Mimico Tulip Festival. This event is centered around the unveiling of 25 4 foot tall tulips which are painted annually by various community groups and school children in the area. The event also includes music, entertainment, food, and activities for all to enjoy this annual tradition.
The Mimico Tulip Festival is a great community event that provides a way to get out and meet the neighbours and offers plenty of fun and entertainment such as jumping castles, rock climbing, face painting, balloons, free refreshments, carnival games and prizes for the young ’uns.
