Specialty burger joints are popping up around Toronto so frequently that the word “specialty” may lose its meaning. However, that’s not the case with The Burger’s Priest and its new location in Etobicoke.
The Burger’s Priest is located at 1599 The Queensway just East of the 427. What was once another chain’s empty restaurant is now a packed house of burger lovers. Let’s get one thing straight right off the bat. Burgers are not a health food, especially tasty mouth-watering burgers. We wouldn’t eat here every day but is it on the shortlist for whenever we are in the mood for burgers and fries. The Burger’s Priest started off with the single location but the demand has brought them to an additional six locations across the GTA including the latest one here in Etobicoke. This isn’t fast food which is to say they don’t have burger’s waiting for you under heat lamps. Place your order, grab a number, and wait while your burger is being made.
Now what’s so special about these burgers? With names like Magnum (with Blue cheese) and Red Sea (Cheeseburger with chili on top) you can see and, more importantly, taste the creativity of the minds behind The Burger’s Priest. I haven’t been brave enough or hungry enough to add a second patty but that’s an option with most of burgers on the menu. For a truly ridiculous burger ask about the “secret menu” with burgers stacked half a foot high with names like Armageddon and Judgment Day. Don’t forget the double crispy fries.
Will you feel guilty after eating at The Burger’s Priest? Yes. Will you enjoy it? Absolutely!
