A staple of any metropolitan city and its districts are the street sales that take place every summer. Etobicoke is no different. Hence the arrival of The Kingsway Summer Sidewalk Sale.

We’re often too much in a hurry driving down Bloor and making our way downtown to notice that there are a lot of great stores along the stretch of Bloor between Montgomery Road and Prince Edward Drive. The Running Room, Artisan Cheese and Food Gallery, Casual Affairs Clothing, Golf Gallery, the LCBO, and Second Cup, are just a select few stores that dot the Kingsway stretch. Nothing beats a casual stroll along Bloor, either on a weeknight or weekend, and doing a little bit of window shopping or sometimes “actual” shopping. For a complete list visit the Kingsway merchant site.

The 2012 Kingsway Summer Sidewalk Sale is being held this June on Thursday the 14th, Friday the 15th, and Saturday the 16th. It’s a great strip to walk when the weather is nice and there are some landmark sites to take note of that we’ll mention in future postings. The Saturday always promises to be an action packed day with fun activities for both children and adults. Experience clowns, face painters, and even create a Father’s Day Card or t-shirt at the craft tent.

Come on out and bring dad along. I’m sure he’ll enjoy the company as you enjoy the Kingsway Summer Sidewalk Sale.
